1 pointI've been itching to make a PW seax for a long time now, and after seeing the last serpent seax by Aidan, I decided why not go ahead and try! The most complicated PWing I have done so far is some 52100/A36 San mai, so I am driving into the deep end here with plans for a multibar seax! I'm trying something very historical, albeit smallish, but I might make it bigger as my first bar of 11 layer twist of 1060/1095/mild is 3 times as long as I need. And yes, that's my eng paper xD wish me luck!
1 pointhttp://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-news-from-elsewhere-37285805 You have to love the lines under the first pic in the story! A group of Icelandic goose hunters got more than they bargained for during a recent outing - they didn't catch a single bird, but stumbled upon a Viking sword thought to be more than 1,000 years old. Apparently, they hunt geese differently in Iceland! To bad there are not some better pics of the sword!!
1 pointI have never been good at maintaining an angle. I ended up getting a Wicked Edge sharpener. It does a good job for those of us who don't have the skill to sharpen freehand. A link is: wickededgeusa.com
