  7. hey guys. i just started reading into thermite on the forums here, and i was wondering how you guys go about getting the iron oxide to do this? do you buy it? scrape it off old tools or what? i know one quick way of getting some rust is a method i've used to "antique" knives. i wipe some cold blue on them, then without neutralizing or cleaning in any way, i dip them into a big ol jar of bleach. this eats steel up really quick. could this method be used to get iron oxide for thermite? i tried this out with some 0000 steel wool and it just about dissapeared in 10 minutes. let me know what y

  11. alright i got bored at work and tried to work out a wottz formula spreadsheet, no messing around tweekeing things, just enter the known alloy of each given material, then the ammounts of each material in grams boom it should pop up with your outcome then you can tweek and mix up the ratio till you get what you need, or easily save recipies for later to try to keep the math consistent. work in new materials and save the mixes. i figured it was worth a try. i did it out long hand once or twice and thats a pain the butt. hope you guys enjoy and maybe someone uses it. i can't upload it he
