  1. These are two blades for a customer in Spain

I'll be finishing the knives in about two weeks.

The big one is san mai with 101/1070 on the sides and 5160 edge.

    8 1/2" blade lenght, 7 3/4" edge.

The small(er) one is cable damascus (1085) and has a 5" blade.

This is the first one somewhat ground.

  3. These two are for for a gentleman that wants to put some nice handles on them himself.

O1 core with 1085 (cable) on the sides.

    5 7/8" blade, 6 3/4" including bolster.

Top blade is somewhat ground (oxide is due to watering it while grinding it to reduce temperature so I can be able to grab it :D) and shows how the entire blade is welded perfectly.

Then the bottom one shows how the acid bath and second HT get the blade etched and colored.

  4. What makes this knife special other than being my first integral Nessmuk, you say?

    Well, the steels!

D2 core with a fully stainless damascus on the sides (304 and 430)

430 gets more eaten by the acid as it has more carbon content and is not that acid-resistant as the 304.

Also note the nice effect on the first layer of 430... It's darker than the other ones, and I'm pretty sure that's because of carbon migration from the D2 on the heating process.

This one will get a micarta handle and mokume buttcap.

Without further ado, here are the pictures!

4 1/2" from tip to end of bolster, 3 1/2" edge.

  5. This is the ingot from a flatstock 5160 and chain from a chainsaw that Ruben will use on a folder we got an order for.

This will have bronze between the chain links and will be used for the blade and backspacer. Then I'll make mokume with the same colors for bolsters.

    Here's what started this order:

  8. They all are san mai damascus with a 5160 core and 1010 and stainless steel on the sides.

While I still have an ordered shark tooth, I won't take orders for this kind of stuff, I might make some later on, but my focus is knife making.

This first one is for a nice lady that ordered a knife.

I had an artisan friend of mine to put the tigerwire to hang it around the neck. It's about 2" long.

    Size reference.

    damascusjewerly9.jpg

And this one is a wide guitar pick with a center in copper pipe, and coppered cable. A friend of mine asked me to do this as a birthday gift for a friend of his that's a guitar player/singer.

Before getting it on a necklace.

And an old knife that I liked that much that I kept for myself. I had bad pics, and now I have decent ones.

    Torsioned Damascus Claw

Damascus made from 2 files (W1) and ball bearing parts (52100)

4.5" blade, 9" overall length. Handle was made with black and white acetate. For the sheath I used leather with a detail of the same handle acetates.
