  11. Since I've started making pendants in stainless damascus from stainless 420 MV and stainless 304, people have been asking me to make beads out of the same material, and after about a year, I've finally manage to make the first ones. As with the pendants, this is a combination of shinny and matte that looks very unique and really awesome, specially the colored one, in black/dark blue and gold. They are way more time consuming to make than the regular carbon ones, but I believe they're worth it. Without further ado, here are some pictures (being a shiny round surface, photographing t
  12. Thanks guys! When I press the ingot with the layers of different steels, they compress at a different rate, so if you were to look at the ingot, you'd see little "mountains" there. This translates into this wavy line when you grind the bevels. Since the core is the steel with the most carbon content, it gets much darker in the acid etc, so sometimes I buff the edge and go up to the spine a bit, but leave the core steel near the sides untouched, to maximize the contrast between the layers there and the inner steel. 21. While moving to a new place I've found this little blade on a virtual corner of my old shop.
