  8. Not much to show this week as I'm finishing up some knives for previous orders. First we have an etched blade for a Slim Criollo Knife. Then a Nessmuk Bare Blade that a customer asked me to rush. On the this blades, I etch my mark on the other side, so when you see a Nessmuk with AES on the right side, it's an entire knife I've made. When you see one with the AES mark on the left, I just made the blade. More pictures here: http://www.aescustomknives.com/docs/pro_nessmuk3.htm And then, some beads: More pictures here: http://www.aescustomknive

  20. How did you get that much contrast on etching? Carbon difference and fresh perclorure. Are the waves in the pattern contrast between 1010 and 1070 (or is there 5160 in the patterned portion of the blade, too?) No 5160 on the patterned portion of the blade. The contrast is between the 1010 (lighter steel) and the 1070 (darker steel) Is that much difference typical between 5160 and 10xx series (even when welded to other 10xx series) when welded and etched? There's difference depending on the 10XX steel used... For a nice contrast I use at least 5 points of difference. 5160 and 107
