I was very active in bladsmithing in the mid 80's and into the 90s. Worked with Japanese Smiths when they visited in the US.
Started again in 2000 and created a website some years ago that shows how to make charcoal, forge, box bellows www.twinoaksforge.com .
In 2003 I started my dream of building my own house-by myself. The idea was to take a couple years to do it, set up my forge again and live happily ever after.
It is taking forever, but it is far enough along that I feel the need to return to the forge. I have a place for it but now have to start all over again.
I have practiced Kendo and Iaido since 1993.
I was machinist/programmer for 18 years. Then application engineering manager for Mori Seiki for 10.
Currently Regional Manger for Lyndex-Nikken a machining accessories company.
Jiminy, I can't be that old!
