  3. Those are mostly used for tool and die work, as far as serious metal removal not so great, they are for finishing, deburing and lapping of mating parts,as well as touching up tooling edges

  16. Birch wood Casey Tru-Oil would be my choice for walnut, rub on a light coat let dry and then rub down with 0000 steel wool repeat till you like it, then rub on a very thin finish coat and let dry .....................My $.002

  18. I forge indoors all the time, but I do make sure there is good ventilation (IE) an open door on the leeward side and a fan blowin towards it... Dealing with emphysema makes that necessary for me. I also use propane instead of coal or charcoal for the same reason..............
