  5. makes me feel like a viking this is pretty good too
  6. NASA probably used the 58's as chase planes. Not sure what else they could have used them for. Wish suppressors were as big a deal in the US as they are in the UK, then again I can just walk down to Wal-Mart and buy a dozen shotguns and a chinese M4 clone. Think i'd rather have the freedom to buy guns than anything else. But where do you think an aspiring gunsmith could learn the trade? It's something i've wanted to try out for a while now.
  7. Yup, it's a b58. One of my favorite planes, I'm really interested in cold war era planes. Gunsmithing, eh? I was thinking of getting into that, but I'm not the most mechanically inclined person out there, so I'm consigned to going medieval on steel it seems. How hard was it for you to get into? also, more pics ^39 megaton yield ^
  8. I like it, the simple shapes are pleasing to the eye. Can't tell if it'd be very useful though, compared to other knife designs.
  9. Just a few pictures I took of interesting things in my area. Hopefully some of you find this neat. And that's it. Hopefully one or two stood out.
  10. Am I the only one who sees a face in the damascus?
  11. Welcome, I'm new here so I don't really know what to expect just yet, but this place seems like a very good forum. And since this thread is already here, I see little sense in making my own introduction thread. Hey, I'm Andrew and I recently fell in love with the process of forging. I'm particularly fond of forging blades, especially bowies, which is why I'm here. Since I'm still very new to the hobby, I'm not the most knowledgeable about the terminology and anatomy of blades and the like. Regardless of my inexperience, I still enjoy making blades, no matter how basic or poorly forged.
