  1. Here's the latest and greatest from Cliff Parker.

    Blade Length: 2"

    Overall Length: 4 5/8"

    Blade Material: 1084 & 15n20 Damascus

    Handle Material: Walrus Ivory

Fully file worked and anodized Titanium liners. There is also file work on the inside of the knife on the Damascus filler bar. Filler bar also features Walrus Ivory inlays. 18k rose gold thumb stud.

That is a 2014 dime in the photo to give it scale.

    Enjoy!

  3. Here's 4 new flipper folders my dad just recently completed.

I guess the carbon fiber handles and stonewashed S30V Stainless blades technically make these "tacticals", but they definitely have an artistic element to them.

    Enjoy!

This one has hand textured (with a Dremel tool) Titanium bolsters and Stainless filler bar...

This one was a fun challenge with the MIRROR polished copper bolsters. Filler bar also has that same hand textured finish as the one I mentioned earlier.

  4. This is a brand new line of knives my dad is making. The "I.C.B.M." stands for Intense Cutlery By Martin and this series utilizes high performance alloy steels and handle materials.

This is the prototype of the "SkyBolt" model, specifically the "SkyBolt-6" which means it has a 6" full tang blade with an overall length of 10.75".

    Handle material is scalloped G-10.

    Blade Material is CPM S30V.

The sheath is Boltaron and Kydex and was made by Steve Janik.

    Enjoy!

Overall it was a great show for me this year. My father and I shared a booth inside the main show room so I was the only photographer IN the room with the makers. It seemed to be a successful tactic and I'm looking forward to next year's show and the beautiful knives I'll get to photograph.

    Thanks for taking a look.

  6. While the show wasn't all that busy for me compared to previous years, the knives I did photograph had their challenges that definitely kept me busy all weekend. long. Here they are:

  7. Hey guys,

I photographed this knife over the weekend at the Badger Knife Show in Janesville, WI. It's made by Rick Barrett and the blade is 1095 tool steel, differentially hardened with hamon. Handle is Stingray skin wrapped in a traditional cord wrap. The Kydex sheath is lined with leather on the interior for blade finish protection. Rick calls it a "Tactical Tanto".

  8. I recently got some new lights and have been taking some pictures trying to get all the settings right to make the best pictures. Here's the first few knives I photographed with them, and I must say that they turned out amazing! Enjoy

Here's a special project that my dad and I have been working on for almost a year now. I made all of the chain maille which my dad (Peter Martin) then integrated into a bowie knife. It was actually quite challenging to make everything fit correctly, but it came together quite nicely.

I will be using my new lights at the upcoming Badger Knife Show next weekend in Janesville, WI and I am excited to see what kind of photos I can produce from the show. I'll be sure to post them afterwards so everyone can admire the knives from the show.

Thanks for taking a look at my photos.

  9. Here's some knife photos I took over the fall & winter of 2013.

I'm looking forward to the Badger Knife Club Show in Janesville, WI at the end of this month. It's always exciting to see what the knife maker's have conjured up during the cold winter months.

    Thanks for looking!

  10. Hey guys,

I recently photographed a couple of knives for Rick Barrett, and I wanted to post them on this special Hamon thread. I can tell you from a photography point of view that Hamon lines are one of the hardest details to capture. It takes a bit of trial and error with lighting and knife position, but these are the results.

I have no clue what process Rick uses, but he's got it down to a science it seems.

Any comments are welcome and thanks for looking.
