Michael Walker

I'm a California kid that grew up in the most south eastern corner of Georgia. I have been in North Carolina now for over 12 years where I live with my beautiful wife JoAnn and our son Jack who was just born last June (2012). I am a SQL Developer/Report Writer for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in Charlotte NC.

I have had an interest in Blacksmithing for about 3 years now but apartment life and HOA's haven't been to conducive to building a smithy. My wife and I would love to get about 5 acres of land away from the hustle and bustle of the city where I could build a pub in the basement, forge outside, and she could garden to her heart's content. In the meantime, I am learning all I can without actually doing.

Bladesmithing is the area that I am the most interested in. I've already got one order in from my wife to forge her some good kitchen knives!
