  1. This is ABS Mastersmith Kevin Cashen talking about the making of the ABS Board Knife for this year. It is a substantial Bowie with 1095 and Hamon, walrus ivory handle and Damascus fittings. As is typical with Kevin, there is a lot of info and a quirky sense of humor.
  2. I was doing some research this afternoon, and stumbled across this site/guild/society/whatever: http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ Granted I don't know much. But I never heard of these guys. I was wondering if anyone else had. Are they a for-real organization? Are they serious bladesmiths? Or are they more of a social group (for example, I'm a Mastersmith in the KIWG--Klingon Imperial Weapons Guild--which was a real organization--online)? And would it be worth it to shell out the $60.00 for a yearly membership? Or is it more of a "Fluffy" thing? (Yeah, I read about Fluffy. 'Nuff said.) Buck
