Hello everyone, It's been a while since I last posted. The reason for that is that I am a person with many interests and hobbies. Some of you may remember some of my blade design sketches I posted on the forum over the past two years. I got a lot of positive comments on my drawing skills, which I am very thankful of! Therefore I wanted to show you one of my other endeavors; I make hyperrealistic (beyond the realism of a photo) drawings with pencil on paper. It's something very different from blade smithing, but it does take the same amount of patience and obsession with details. On my Facebook page you can see my works: http://www.facebook.com/art.dielemans And for those that don't have Facebook, this is my personal site: http://jasperdielemans.wix.com/realism I have an equal love for blades as i do for drawing, but I focus more on drawing because it forms my only income. It kind of explains my frequent absence from the forum. But what's better than making a living out of your passion? I do have a new blade project coming up though. I will be doing the handles and sheath for two brother seaxes in collaboration with Karter Schuster who will be crafting the blades. Good luck with all of your own projects! Jasper

Hey Everyone, This seems like a great place and a little more homie than some of the other general forging forums I've found. I've been drawing a lot, after looking at a lot of blades and wanted to show some of my progress. I'd like some feedback on the patterns, and maybe some help in figuring out what to start on first. Thanks for looking.
