Hello! Have you ever had the carpal tunnel syndrome? A wonderful thing - it makes you appreciate the work time you have left (between the immense dosage of pain and the inability to hold anything properly ). Well, because I had only limited time left after working on orders, it made me think about in which areas I want to improve. I decided that I want to be better at carving, and at adapting ancient patterns - and so this little bugger was born. I has a 9,5cms blade composed of wrought iron strip, 13 layers of 15n20 and C80, and tool steel edge. The handle is carved reindeer antler and cher

This is what's been kicking my ass since the start of the year. Blade is 1/4" 1095, about 12", asymmetrical double edged with deep fullers, differentially hardened, mirror polished and the fullers heat blued. Handle is a turned antler shaft carved on the face with a beast knot, and finished with shellac, with ebony pommel and haunches carved with knotwork. The upper and lower guards are sculpted blued steel, with copper trim. There is a carved bone pommel cap, set with 4 garnets. The scabbard is split and chiseled out of a block of sycamore, lined with felt, carved with knotwork and finished wi

Hi! I was lucky enought to create a really funny thing! It is a broken-back seax from central Europe (Great Moravia at the 9th century), and it´s interesting because of one thing - it has fake lines, that are trying to immitate PW rod and wolf´s teeth weld! So, here is how I went about it... and the last picture, well.... that´s my new love, Chewbacca.

Hi guys. I finished this little "pocket nihonto" today. The handle measurements (95.6mm x 14.3mm) are the measurements used for the making of a "kozuka" , the handle of a katana's companion knife. The blade is 1070, the handle is hand carved wrought iron. Questions and comments welcome!

Those who know me personally knows my opinion on tactical folders. So, when a client nagged me for months to make him a tactical I could not say no. The problem was to get a tactical look while still doing what I do. I think the result is quite pleasing: Mild steel handle, Differentially hardened "Saben silver steel" blade, bronze pin, brass washers / bushing. Blade width: 35mm, open length: 210mm Edit: "Saben silver steel" is made by Bohler Uddeholm, a close match to W2.

"What if?" has lead me into more trouble than I care to remember, but it such a fun game: "What if Thor had a folding knife?" has lead to this: 13" open, pattern welded blade consisting of a W2 edge, four twisted bars, tripple braid and a spine. Inlayed copper fittings and blackwood. I started carving the first bolster this morning: I am still in two minds about the pommel end, should I add a cap?
