Hello, I have just starting getting into blade smithing and have really just been watching videos and researching, I am looking for a mentor that would be willing to teach me, and or a makers hub where I can put tools I buy and work in. I have no idea if it would cost to learn or what but I am in central Florida and travel for work all over the country during the week, I really want to get into this trade because I am a professional welder and love working with metal, any advice, people, or schools in my area that would be willing to teach me or mentor me on the weekends?

I am looking for a mentor to help me learn forging techniques and improve my skills. But you have to be from Wisconsin as I do not have the money for long distance trips.

Cliff Morris, my mentor, made the local paper in Winnemucca, Nevada. My Dad came up to visit and brought me a copy of the article. I hunted down the online version: http://news4nevada.com/Content/NEWS/NEWS-Humboldt-County/Article/Artisan-Cliff-Morris-a-man-of-many-skills-talents/36/171/24280 Cliff is an amazingly talented man. Every time I visit, I find something new he's working on. Should you ever visit his shop, I have one word of warning: Do not even mention the words "stainless steel." That phrase and the metal it applies to are strictly forbidden. If it doesn't rust, he won't
