new knives from Gudy van Poppel

My good 50 year old friend Gudy van Poppel send me the following pics with the request to post them.

 

The first bowie is forged out of O2, nickel and old iron found in the excavation of a roman ship. Gudy does not know how old the iron exactly is.

Gudy!! AWESOME works man!

 

I love the lines and grains in the handle of the second one. Really great work there. All three are beautiful and seductive in their own ways.

Those are all beautiful knives. I kinda like the mystique of there being unknown metal in it. One has to wonder where it has been and how old it is. If metal could talk eh? Anyway, I do agree with Greg I like the last one the most, but they are all very nice pieces.
