Serge Panchenko
Hey guys, another Dao I just finished up. Overall length is 6" with a 2" blade. Handle is Nylon with imitation crocodile skin cow hide underlay. The leather sheath is drying up right now I'll have the pics of it soon. What do you guys think? Wayne Saunders
Really like this one, simple but stylish. Was just wondering what the intended use for a dao is? I'm sure it could be used for heaps of things but I like to know a bit of history about different blade shapes www.ironlordforge.com

Michael Pyron
That's pretty neat! What's the steel and what did you do to get that pretty grainy look to the "ricasso" area? Whatever it is, I like it!
Serge Panchenko
Michael steel is 1080 and the "texturing" is some of the original steel texture that was not ground off. Pics of the sheath: SERGEKNIVES.COM

Kevin Colwell
Aha, I thought that Dao was only a sword. I see, it can also be a kitchen knife. Nice one. thanks for showing (and teaching me) kevin please visit my website http://www.professorsforge.com/ “Years ago I recognized my kinship with all living things, and I made up my mind that I was not one bit better than the meanest on the earth. I said then and I say now, that while there is a lower class, I am in it; while there is a criminal element, I am of it; while there is a soul in prison, I am not free.” E. V.
