Geoff Keyes
Just some informal shots of the latest piece off the bench. For whatever reason, this one caused me a lot of trouble. The fussier I get about fit, the harder I find it is to work with antler . This is a knife for the brother of our farrier. He is a hunter and wanted a field piece. It's not what I call a hunter, but it's what he wanted. Forged 1084 Full flat grind, full distal taper White tail crown with a redwood burl spacer (the burl has a lot of activity that the camera missed). Hammered NS cap Blade length 6" OL just over 11" Hope you like, Geoff "The worst day smithing is better than the best day working for someone else." I said that. If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly. - - -G. K. Chesterton So, just for the record: the fact that it does work still should not be taken as definitive proof that you are not crazy. MJDForge
Nice one, Geoff. I'd call that a hunter, but I'm no expert. Matthew DempseyArchangel Bladesarchangel.knives@gmail.comIronworkCustom Knives https://www.facebook.com/archangel.blades
