New piece

Just some informal shots of the latest piece off the bench. For whatever reason, this one caused me a lot of trouble. The fussier I get about fit, the harder I find it is to work with antler :( . This is a knife for the brother of our farrier. He is a hunter and wanted a field piece. It's not what I call a hunter, but it's what he wanted.

Forged 1084

Full flat grind, full distal taper

White tail crown with a redwood burl spacer (the burl has a lot of activity that the camera missed).

Hammered NS cap

Blade length 6"

OL just over 11"

Hope you like,

Geoff

I said that.

So, just for the record: the fact that it does work still should not be taken as definitive proof that you are not crazy.
