Blades and beads for the week

Not much to show this week as I'm finishing up some knives for previous orders.

First we have an etched blade for a Slim Criollo Knife.

Then a Nessmuk Bare Blade that a customer asked me to rush.

On the this blades, I etch my mark on the other side, so when you see a Nessmuk with AES on the right side, it's an entire knife I've made.

When you see one with the AES mark on the left, I just made the blade.

And then, some beads:

I love your san mai knives. You get some of the sharpest contrast in your patterns.

I especially like how your san mai knives have such a dramatic gradient from black (near the laminated material) to silver at the edge.

Cheers,

you're doing something that I havent quite been able to figure out. You seem to get a VERY good contrast between light and dark. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm on a quest to figure it out :-) Good work.

Have you ever thought about the life of steel? It's interesting to think that you can control the fate of a piece of metal.

I really wish I lived close to your shop. You'd never get rid of me!

You make great work and I really like it. I especialy like some of your blades that have pattern welded outer layers with solid cutting edges.

Great stuff and thanks for showing us the product and the procedure.

By the way Ariel, I thought you'd get a kick out of this:

My daughter, who is 8, often "shoulder surfs" while I read the forum. She refers to you as: "The dude with the big hair."
