The CHIMERA KNIFE

We finished this one. Yesterday I completely reworked the blade. Now it's much better as a result; better curves. tomorrow I'll start the scabbard.

Materials are :

sterling silver, 18k gold, emeralds,.75karats ea. wild black cherry spalt. 15N20-1084 turkish style steel (twisted radial bars)

Downright scary! Another one with some serious WOW factor, very cool hilt and very nice pattern to match, well done all around that is awesome!

I am simply blown away by both the beauty of the blade and the spectacular craftsmanship of the handle, over all AMAZING piece, fits well together and its completely practical for use. 10/10, beautiful and practical.

I'm inspired, and aspire, before some of you retire, to work with steel and fire and make tools that you'll admire.

God Man, what a beautiful overall piece of art.

 

humbling, too - reminds me that it is really kind of those of you who have dedicated much of your lifetime to pursuing this art to take the time to share you knowledge with those of us who are so new.

OK - you offer lessons - I offer anything from general information about psych, law and policy through specific stuff like parenting classes and psychotherapy.

 

Or, training into how to tell when people are lying to you. My real career is as a researcher and human rights activist, I offer a humanistic alternative to interrogation on one hand and work to get convictions based on interrogations overturned on the other. Trying to reduce violence on both sides of the legal system.

 

Maybe "tutoring" was the right word. Don't want to derail your thread. Beautiful stuff, I was mostly kidding. Although - I tried to check your website for vid's a couple weeks ago and the site was down. I know you had some, and I got ok from the boss (wife) to get more educational stuff, and...

 

let me know if there is anything on offer along those lines, but I will need the most basic things you have.

well, I didn't know it was an actual stamp that you used on the steel, I figured it was just something you put on your site. What were you guys doing up so early? :rolleyes:
