Kevin Colwell
Hello Everyone, I am posting a welded cable hunter that I made as part of a traffic and trade with fellow forum member Tim. I will be shipping to him (as soon as he pm's me with mailing address!). 5" blade 4.5" handle walnut, brass, with leather spacers. I tried the inverse of a palm swell type handle, since I have been making those so often before. I was advised to give other shapes a try for comfort, etc. So, here is one possible take on a "wide at ends, narrow in middle" handle. I wish I had polished the brass better. I hope that Tim gets enjoyment from it. As always, comments, encouragement, and advice are welcomed. Wade Hougham
Kevin, I really like your blade design and when I first looked at the pattern I thought you had covered the blade with snake skin. Jziegenbein
that looks cool! the pattern is especially nice, has your specific style to it. The one thing i would change on it is keep the handle thin right up until the guard and then just have the guard flare out, rather than have the handle get thicker right before the guard, but that's just aesthetics, and it might be more comfortable as is. jared Z. lilzee on britishblades.
