Hi,

 

This is the newest edition of the forum software. I have installed it to keep the forum up to date both for security and ease of use. Be patient with me while I work out the bugs, reconnect all the connections etc.

 

It will be a while until I learn my way around this update it is a major one. Thanks,

I will be helping Don in the transition as I learn the backend as well. This is what I do for living or at least I did.

Thanks for doing this Don.

 

I did notice that the gallery images are all broken. Maybe a path issue?

Looks great. Right off the bat though there are those huge gallery photos you have to scroll past when visiting the highest level of the forum. That's a little daunting. I'm sure you'll get that fixed soon though :) Cheers, and the update looks great. very professional.

This is going to be alot of work for you Don.....and John... Thank you for keeping this community together and upgrading to make it even better...... It looks good and let's hope it is easier for you to run when you get it figured out..... Were you looking for a new mental challenge? LOL.... the other side of that is learning new stuff keeps the brain young and working... " May you be , forever young"

Mental challenge it is. I am still trying to figure out the large gallery images at the beginning of the home page and where did the chat go? Oh well, patience my friends, all change is challenging.

I just went through a major update to the forum I run this weekend as well. I know you'll get it sorted Don and John. Thanks for all the work!

Don, Funny you should update this week. I just spent the last few days going over the IPB3 Update and was wondering to myself if you were going to update, I almost sent you a email to ask. I have heard nothing but good stuff about 3.0 and now with the kinks worked out and on 3.2 its looking very good.

 

Maybe one of the tech guys can come up with a nice bladesmith skin, that would be cool. Good luck with the learning curve on this and I look forward to using the new updated board.

On the home page, right hand side, just below the search bar is "View New Content" right next to the RSS symbol. Click on the words and it pops up the recent posts. I am trying to figure out how to use the RSS feed setup, but haven't gotten that far yet.

 

Also at the very bottom of the home page just below the Pinned Topics forum is a blue menu bar. The first item on the menu is Today's active content, click on it and it will pull up recent posts.
