Images!!!! Please read

Recommended Posts

I understand that not everyone is good at using computers. So I am asking that if you have any doubts about an image, and before you upload it to the server, please contact me I am online 24 hours 7 days even when I am not in front of the computer I get messages. I can help to resize your image.

If you do not want to ask for help to which I can fully understand.

The proper sizes are as follows if you have Adobe Fireworks or something similar, that used compression then 1024 x 768 is the absolute cut off and 800 x 600 is perfect the file size should be below One Hundred Kilobytes. If you can not do this. The server will go down for bandwidth usage. So as I go thru the forums on a daily basis and if you uploaded something that is big I will make it the right size and if I see it to much from the same person I will remove yout posts with a comment to fix the images then redo the post.

Thanks to a few individuales, who have looked high and low on the web for noew tools to help those who cannot afford the software for resizing images.

This one is from Skip Williams, so everyone please thank him for looking for these tools.

John,

consider adding this to your post about image resizing.

For WindowsXP users the easiest way to adequately resize images for the forum is to install the Microsoft PowerToys Image Resizer

Using the Image Resizer instructions are here. It is really easy to use.

the absolute cut off is

1024 x 768 with a file size of 100k

800 x 600 with a file size 78k

And on down the list if you uplaoded an image and it is over 3008 x 2000 and a file size over 2 megs then this is not exceptable
