KOPIS INTERPRETATION

Beautiful work, I love how the wood grain on the grip follows the lines of the blade.

It's not that I would trade my lot

Or any other man's,

Nor that I will be ashamed

Of my work torn hands-

For I have chosen the path I tread

Knowing it would be steep,

And I will take the joys thereof

And the consequences reap.

Very nice modern take on a classic, looks like one heck of a chopper...

Uli, Nice work!

I am currently looking into germanic iron age single edged swords. They are fascinating and share some kind of kindred spirit with your blade.

These were straight in the blade, but otherwise had some elements in common with the Kopis or Falcata.

Perhaps we will have opportunity to compare ideas in person in a few weeks?

Great work, Uli. Keep them coming :-)

Uli, I have to say you never disappoint- that thing looks wickedly capable. You've now raised the bar for all future KLO's (kopis like objects).
