Three Sisters Forge
I have patterns cut from 1095, I need to contrast with powdered steel in a mosaic. Would 1084 or 4800 KC work better ? Unclemike13
Hi Jim - The 4800 KC is 4% Nickel and will contrast well with 1095. Michael

KPeacock
how finely powdered is "powderedsteel?" I've been saving the cutting from steels when I run them through the bandsaw. I was planning on using them as a filer when I box weld all of my random bits of dmascus, 1095, 5160, W2...etc. Will this end up being too coarse? Have you ever thought about the life of steel? It's interesting to think that you can control the fate of a piece of metal.
