I need a new book case so here is my design. I already have the wood and have it traced out. I am using red oak and sorry for the cell phone pics.

well I am using a plank and cutting away the areas around the knot work, then caring the depth and rounding. I will also be doing a story carving going up and down the larger knots, just dont know exactly yet what to put.

This is what I have so far. It's still in the rough drawing stage, I need to clean up the lines and make things even but that's it for now.

That is cool, Irish knotwork with a hint of the Urnes style.

It's not that I would trade my lot

Or any other man's,

Nor that I will be ashamed

Of my work torn hands-

For I have chosen the path I tread

Knowing it would be steep,

And I will take the joys thereof

And the consequences reap.

Yeah, pretty late update.

This has been a spare time project

I only have to finish this side, the other side, the shelves, and the back... so pretty much everything :)
