This is really cool. Daos seem to have been made in almost the same ways as the European constructions, and use clay ht some.

the only thing I don't like is that more of them do not have ridged constructions (like the shinogi on a katana).

The exception is the willow leaf dao, which is almost exactly like the blade on a katana.

 

But - so what - I will put ridges into mine anyway. There are a lot of Chinese people, surely there were a few back then with ridges.
