Another knife from the order orthoptera

 

Seriously - this is another beautiful triumph of function and art.

 

Just happens that the matched curves and symmetry make it look like wings to me.

i was at a loss for words as well, and have just spent 5 hours in the shop trying to replicate just the area from the ricasso to where the bronze begins lol........that knife really hits the sweet spot for me

Not many knives can stand up to the extreme closeups that you show. The fit of the bronze to the carved ivory is well-spectacular.

 

All in all it is flawless AND sensual. The texturing on the steel is a masterful touch.
