One for the upcoming Blade Show in Atlanta:

A high layer Twist blade in a fixed assembly with crushed Ws fittings and a stag handle.

Everything hot-blued.

"Bolted" together internally.

Come see me at 14-O!

Thanks for showing the knife Karl. Fits in nicely with the bluing writeup you did down in 'fit and finish'. I see you can catch a bit of that chatoyance in your pictures. Gotta ask, does internal bolting mean 'I think I have some epoxy around here somewhere'.

Nice work, Craig

Nice work, Craig

It IS epoxied to a degree, Craig, but is it also double pinned from guard to stag, and the butt cap is double pinned as well.

The tang is also threaded.

I created two "steps" inside and across the handle from one another.

And then, across them, I placed a steel "bridge" with a hole in the center, through which went a tapped finial to thread ONTO the threaded tang and pull everything together.

It IS bolted.

If you need pictures - I have them.
