Hamons are a painting; blades are a canvas, clay is my paint, fire is my brush. the problem is.. i am still painting like Pablo Picasso.

I'm afraid the only way I'm going to have any time to work on this by March is if the bank approves our house purchase within the next week or so, because if they take much longer than that it will be March before we even get everything moved in. Looks like I'm out on this one, but I think I will still make the design I drew up for it once we do get the house and get settled in. Sorry guys!

Well since msg #21 in this thread has been ignored and the thread Non-Steel has also been ignored by the list keepers. I will now NOT be taking part in the 2011 KITH, thank you so much for those who made that call for me. Bye bye.

Yeah guys, you don't need permission to sign up. Just post an "I'm in!" post and make sure to have something finished by March for the drawing. It's a very loose theme: Mythic or Tribal. Which myth? Which tribe? Entirely up to you.

Cheers!

Dave

i've decided to join, but not actually join. I really like the theme of this kith and i've sen some awesome knives so far. so, I am making a blade along the theme of the kith, just as if i was in the kith, but since it's only my third forged knife, i wont actually send it to anyone. I hope that makes a little bit of sense :)

If no one has any objections, I will perform the drawing out of the hat on Saturday, March the 3rd.

I will print out everyone's name, place it on a slip of paper, and place it in a hat, then let my 10 year old daughter draw the names.

The drawing will be video taped and placed up on the forum for everyone to view.

It will be the responsibility of the person who gets the knife to send a PM to the maker of the knife with shipping information. So, if you are drawn to get my knife, it'll be up to you to PM me with your mailing address. Similarly, whoever gets your knife will be responsible for PMing you with their mailing address.

Is this cool with everyone?

Cheers!

Hello Dave!

I am completely ok with that, except as i know you are participating, i asked Sam Salvati to do the drawing - as i wanted nonparticipating moderator to do that.

I didnt want to question your objectivity, that would be absurd, but i kind of started negotiations before, as i felt responsible as a guy who proposed the KITH

Anyhow, i will have to let you two guys to settle the matter and thank you for the proposal, as it needs to be done and it takes some time!

Sorry for not informing ahead, i was saving that in my sleeve for too long

That's totally cool. Your point is a good one. I was just volunteering since I didn't know what the plan was.

Sam, take it away!
