Nolan
That's what I was guessing as well. Thanks
Sam Salvati
through my experience, you can get by using a pair for 1", and a pair for 3/8". I would also augment this with a pair of flat bar tongs like GS makes. the 1" will grip the blade from the blade end or if it's a full tang the tang end, and the 3/8" pair will grip the tang on a stick tang. Let not the swords of good and free men be reforged into plowshares, but may they rest in a place of honor; ready, well oiled and God willing unused. For if the price of peace becomes licking the boots of tyrants, then "To Arms!" I say, and may the fortunes of war smile upon patriots
Joe Davis
I make my tongs from rebar easy to find on costruction sites (usually rusting in the gutter) or cheap from your local hardware store Take a shot at life even if you miss it's still fun to hear the gun go off. Lord, make me fast and accurate. Let my aim be true and my hand faster than those who would seek to destroy me. Grant me victory over my foes and those that wish to harm me and mine. Let not my last thought be “If only I had my gun”; and Lord if today is truly the day that You call me home, let me die in a pile of brass. Ben Potter
Watch out for certain types of re-bar, I got some from home depot that wouldn't weld and got crumbly. Just make sure to test it first before putting in all the time at the forge. I use re-bar for simple tools and for handles on billets. Ben Potter Bladesmith It's not that I would trade my lot Or any other man's, Nor that I will be ashamed Of my work torn hands- For I have chosen the path I tread Knowing it would be steep, And I will take the joys thereof And the consequences reap.
