Something a bit different

Recommended Posts

A quickie project, that took forever to finish...sigh  .

1075 hex bar, slit and drifted, all forging by hand, including the pommel ring.

Hand made Black Locust handle with some crude carving (partly what I was looking for, partly 'cause I'm not very good  ).

BL 10"

OL 18"

Tarted up with some brass tacks and it's going to get a horse tail drag and some beads. It's really a fantasy piece, I don't think I've ever a double hawk, but fun and usable. In fact I've cut my self twice finishing it.

Thanks for looking,

Geoff

That's pretty sweet-looking, Geoff. I really like the forge finish on the body of the head, and the tacks work really well.

Geoff

Are you going to bring that to the OKCA show in April? Might be a good one to enter into the forged contest. Very nice lines.
