Troy Christianson
I was cold forging some round bar wrought iron I picked up from a grain mill demolition. Forging it either cold or very hot seems to be the best method for this iron. It tends to unravel while at a red or orange heat. Anyways, after pounding on it to get it to about a 1/4" thick I noticed a nice crack forming. A few more hits and voila! It split into two pieces. My mistake ended up with a nice visible cross-section of the wrought iron so I thought I would share some shots.
