Shobu-Zukuri Kat for sale

Recommended Posts

Hello:

OK The Dr wants even more filthy lucre..this hand is getting outta control here but hopefully this next will be the last...At least I think it should be...funny how a small thing gets so big so fast..sigh....Doing things more or less one handed is no fun at all....Anyway....

Blade length is 28 3/4" in Shobu-Zukui with a single full length Bi-Hi on each side. Beautiful hamon, dressed in a swimming dragon Kashirae with black silk ito over a deep blood red samegawa. This is a Generation II blade. The hamon is very vibrant and striking. This blade I would call 7/8ths polished. Further polishing is beyond my skill but it would show some very interesting activity if brought up to a full "Show Polish". This is No 35/125 in my limited series. It is a water quenched blade.

The tsuka is black silk over blood red samegawa mounted in a dragon theme. Tsuka length is 14". Overall length of the sword is 44" and it is extremely SHARP. The hardwood siya is blood red lacquer underneath black crack lacquer. Very striking visually and quite dramatic. SOLD!!

Please reply direct THANK YOU...

This is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. I have not looked at the markets for katana's for ~10 years since I got an L-6 cutter from HC. Is the market so flooded that no one needs this? or has the down turn really reduced the value of these fine items that much??

Mr. Bouck:

The "problem" with this is the fact that I am for the lack of a better term..a more or less "unknown" maker. I tend to keep to myself (I value my privacy and the privacy of my family)and I don't keep putting my "name ot there all over the place"..Which is OK with me. Still this is a very, very low price for a piece such as it is but I just do not have the same name recognition that most other makers have. Plain and simple. Couple that with the fact thta I had several military comittments to attend to..it makes it hard to get back "in the loop"... Such is life...
