June seax class at Bushfire forge

In amongst what has turned out to be a very hectic summer There was a little calm within the storm this last week.

here are a couple of pictures from the last day, of a 5 day seax class I taught last week.

the class with choppers out (you may recognise our own mr seax Jeroen (sporting what I must say are a great pair of mutton chops)

You call having 7 guys over teaching patternwelding saxes while playing with powerhammers, beltgrinders, gasforges and hot steel a calm event? :) I'm quite impressed at how you managed to guide everyone and get all to this result in just 5 days! Even including people who never hit a hot piece of steel. It was a great class, and with great resulting blades by all who participated. And I'm quite proud of the patternwelded longsax that's now at home part of my collection:
