This knife is unfinished still, but maybe I will apprehend, imprison and shoot down for devaluation of valid curency so I must show you it yet...

By the way here is the LAW you were looking for :

 

" Specifically, Section 331 of Title 18 of the United States code provides criminal penalties for anyone who “fraudulently alters, defaces, mutilates impairs, diminishes, falsifies, scales, or lightens any of the coins coined at the Mints of the United States.” This statute means that one may be violating the law if the appearance of the coin is changed and represented to be other than the altered coin that it is with the intent of fraud. As a matter of policy, the U.S. Mint does not promote coloring, plating or altering U.S. coinage, however, there are no sanctions against such activity unless the intent is to be fraudulent. "

 

So keep up the good work and building of knives this they are Awesome .

Thank you much for all comments. Here is complete - owerall 25,5cm, blade 130x30x4mm is sandwich from carbon in middle and stainless steel on sides:

This is beautiful, and as previousley said, the laws on defacing currency seem to imply defacement for the purpose of fraudulation. Beyond that, I believe pennies are fair game since they don't really put new ones in circulation as far as I recall
