Here is one I recently finished that folks might appreciate.

OAL: a touch over 9.25 inches

Steel: W1

Fittings: 1018

Handle: stabilized Walnut burl

I really enjoy doing the color case hardening, as you never quite know what you are going to pull out of the quench bucket. Lots of blues on the side in the photo, the other side has plum, and burgundy.

Nice. Love the case hardening- it's one of those on my "I have to try that" list.

Nice indeed!

Any chance of a tutorial on color case hardening? Please? B)/>

Alan, yea I can do a tutorial. Next time I do a batch I'll pull out the camera and post a thread here on the forums. Might be a little bit before I do another batch but I'll get one up including photos of my relatively simple set up.

Dietrich,

Very beautiful knife.I'm sitting at work and having a debate over what model of Ruger firearm is in the picture. My guess is a Blackhawk .32 caliber police special. I really like those bird's head handles.
