As soon as I get it cut up to see what it looks like, I'll polish up some and post more (better) pictures. Fred Crislip Posted March 23, 2013 Author Share Posted March 23, 2013 Hoy, no don`t have eirher of those down here! too hot for them (sub-tropical) but I`ve got some real nice Florida mahogany drying in my shed that a guy gave me when he was removing a large old tree from his from yard! can`t wait to cut that stuff up! I`m not sure what this is , the tree is about 40 ft tall and smooth barked (the bark peals off in sheets real easy, kind of a messy tree really) any of you florida guys got any idea? Kevin Colwell Posted March 26, 2013 Share Posted March 26, 2013 I suggest making handle slabs out of the burl rather than blocks. I think you will get more overall usage out of slabs.
