Thanks so much everyone. Hi Ryan, I formed the leather while wet using a bone tool on the inside of the sheath. I formed it by stretching the leather where the sheath needed to curve down following the blade shape. I had the seax wrapped in saran wrap and then electric tape to keep it dry. Once the sheath was shaped I clamped it over the seax using wooden forms cut out to mirror the edge of the blade, then I tooled it while it was still wet.
