That's awesome!

Great adventures in modern times. You are lucky to have been able to join in the fun. I like the fact that modern vikings have included what looked like a female crew member in your photos. It's about time! My daughters enjoyed the photos also.

This looks kind of familiar :o , though these pics are from half a world away

I said that.

So, just for the record: the fact that it does work still should not be taken as definitive proof that you are not crazy.

hey! i am pretty sure that the dragon was carved by my friend Indrek!

Yes I believe so, Indrek was also part of the crew on the big ship.

The big one (11.6 m long, 12 oar power) had its maiden sea voyage.

It was built inland and had only sailed on a lake before.

Wait! Wasn't that one Viking wearing speedos?

That cannot be historically correct.... or at least I hope not, imagine a howling berserker charging in bear-skins and speedos.... frightening I tell you!

Looks like loads of fun.

Wow! Need more of that action here in the states.

  • 2 weeks later...

Vikings had guts that is for certain! Even without taking battle into consideration...

Hard to imagine crossing any sea in a craft hardly 12 paces from bow to stern, even in good weather!
