wieland 7
hello together, this little bowie was built on order for one of my customers.fortunately I found the perfect piece of walrus and could save a part of the natural surface.W1, forged and clayquenchedwrought ironwalrus (CITES)length: 24cmblade only: 13cmthickness: 4,5-2,0mmthanks for looking!gerhard
C Craft 183
Wow that is awesome! I mean that one is beautiful and flawless! I would love to see the rig he's going to carry that one in because a piece that nice deserves a sheath that is just as bad-ass! You call it a vest bowie, so is it going to get a conceal carry sheath like a conceal carry holster? I can picture something like the type that goes over the shoulders like you see the detectives or the spies where in the movies!! Edited August 26, 2013 by C Craft

Michael Kemp 2
Love the sculpted guard/finger choil and how the slightly proud walrus tusk meets up to it. Beautiful!
VaughnT 11
Unbelievable! The walrus is the perfect blend of rough and finished; it almost looks like it's been worn smooth by use. The carved guard, though, is simply spectacular. I can't believe how perfectly balanced it is, and the weathered look blends seamlessly with the blade. Marvelous work. Dan P. 39
Rich and beautifully realized! Is there some kind of solder between iron guard and blade, or just a very tight fit? Edited August 26, 2013 by Dan P.

wieland 7
thank you all for your kind posts, I`m glad you like it! @C Craft, I named it ´vest´-bowie for its ´tiny´ lenght- my customer prefers the belt-sheath, so we haven´t thought for a hidden rig. @dan p, yep, blade and guard are soldered. gerhard

Dave Stephens 428
Somehow you always obtain that very rare balance between the new and the ancient in your work. The viewer could simultaneously believe that the piece was brand new and thousands of year old, belonging to an ancient and exotic culture. Paradox, juxtaposition, pastiche, etc. Your work has always been an inspiration to me. It's hard to put into words why it is so, but all really good art has that in common. Thanks for continuing to share with the forum. Cheers. Dave
