Croc Knife

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. It's been a long while since I've been on here and I just wanted to post a few pictures of my most recent piece. The steel is 1095. The pattern was created by cutting prespaced vinyl "scales" and applying them to the steel to act as a resist and then etching in ferric acid. The pattern was taken from picture of a crocodile I pulled off the internet. The handle is buckeye burl which had some pretty large voids in it so I had to hit it with the super glue pretty heavily. Turned out pretty nice overall, though I think. :)

I can hear this fella moving...

Is it the wind, or I should spit and run. I take the second choice. And I did right, now he slowly return thorough the high grass back in the calmness of the water. I´m safe.

When I saw the tittle I had something else in mind but the thing looks as if it ought to open its jaw or something! Cool!
