can't wait to get started the gears are grinding in the think tank(I think I smell smoke is something burning?)

The smith also sitteth by the anvil,

And fighteth with the heat of the furnace,

And noise of the hammer and the anvil is ever in his ears,

And his eyes look still upon the pattern of the thing that he maketh,

He setteth his mind to finish his work,

And waitethto polish it perfectly.

one quick question, when you say "functional" are we talking about something that can be used like in the backyard/woods and not fall apart? or something that you aren't gonna get hassled by local law enforcement in town for wearing (I know it depends on where you live too). is there a blade length maximum?

I've been in the dark ages for the past month or so and unfortunately missed all the discussion on this until now. I'm in! I love these, although my track record is not too great right now...

We definitely don't want it to fall apart... and we can't keep up very well with the local laws in a multinational KITH, so use your best judgement I say. Any blade length up to a two-hand sword is fine if you don't mind paying the shipping...:)

I recall that double-edged blades are illegal in some countries, if you live in a country that prohibits the blade you win we may be able to work out a substitution? I'll have to talk with the powers that be (the admins) if such a situation arises.... I don't want to disallow double-edged blades because they are challenging to make, and cool...
