KITH Kard design

Recommended Posts

Guest guest T

I just don't have an eye for recurved blades and I prefer smaller knives over kukri sized knives. So I decided to use the kard as inspiration. Overall ten and a half inches (27 cm) the handle will be oak and brass full tang, the blade will be distal taper from 3/16. The design might change but this is what I have for now, I would like some feedback please.

I have two different peices I am thinking about using for the handle.

I like it! Full flat grind?

Yes, the edge angle will remain constant but the blade thickness will change. I don't think the edge bevel will be so dramatic though. I will likley be making a few of these out of different materials until I make one that is as good as I can get it.

That looks good to me, should be pretty functional!
