Walter Sorrells
I just finished this one a few days ago. I forged two blades at the same time, roughly the same size and they came out almost exactly the same. Yet different. Hm. That's the cool thing about hand work -- even when you try to make things the same, they end up having a different character every time. It's forged from W2, 13.5 inches blade length, total length 18-ish. If you're interested in watching a little Youtube vid (complete with cheesy free download music) about it that has a few more pictures, you can find it at: http://youtu.be/Xqt-ssZ_0os. GEzell
She is a graceful, lovely blade. Though I appreciate a flashy over-the-top hamon, I love the simplicity and purity of this one... Kevin Colwell
walter, your blades never disappoint. Nice lines, good proportions, excellent polish and hamon. Every time (at least by the time you show them to us). That is seriously impressive. They don't look exactly alike, but they share the same birth process. Hope you had a good time making them. kc please visit my website http://www.professorsforge.com/ “Years ago I recognized my kinship with all living things, and I made up my mind that I was not one bit better than the meanest on the earth.
