Big ole bowie done!

Love the wild olive, hard as nails and polishes up beautifully, feels like glass! The blade and tang took a nose dive in the quench, used a mix of canola and palm oil, first time using it, however it fits the hand well and is growing on me...

Thanks for taking a look!

Curious order and double pic, sorry!

You're not kidding about the wild olive, that looks beautiful, the mirrored patterns from the top view are really eye catching!

Nice work.

Pretty slick there miles! I agree with the folks, that mirrored image olive wood is Dyno-mite! I had read that oil quenching leads to nose dropping but haven't really seen it much. Still I think it looks pretty natural like it is. Just curious, do you use files for bevelling? Good work dude.

Thanks all, Johnny, on this one I hammerd most of the bevels the a tidy up with a 'flappy disc' grinder and squared it up with emery-cloth on a board, as I didn't want it to look to' precise' or factory made...

Ben, I sliced down the middle of a branch, then cut a scale from each side and attatched ' back to back' sometimes it works out perfecly... :)

Good work, Miles! I really like the look of that olive wood, too.

Please come and waste some otherwise perfectly good time, looking at my knives!
