Caleb Harris 51
Instagram is really handy and nice, especially for trades. This was my second official trade, to a woodturner who does lots of stuff with wood. She gave me the design and asked me to make the blade for her and she would do the handle, and in extchange I got a woodturned bowl as a present to my mother for mother's day. These are her photos that she took (I took none before sending it off). Nice and hair-shaving sharp, 1084 oil quenched, tempered at 375 for 45 minutes then 350 for 54 minutes. I had to harden several times to get it to where I wanted it. An HT oven would be nice... Tips comments and critique welcomed.

James Spurgeon 22
There is always room for improvement... But with that knife you are going to have to look close to find them! Measurements would be nice, I am especially curious how thick it is at the spine and how steep the bevels are? Great work, James

I feel accomplished as this topic is my 800th post! Actually, I never measured the blade before I sent it off. I'm pretty sure at the thickest point the spine is 1/4", at least that's what the stock thickness was, but I hardly ever measure by stuff. I prefer to go by "does it look good like that". John Page 68
Well done Caleb, nice clean work. My only critique would be to make the edge a little thinner. It is difficult to tell, but the angle looks a little wide, especially at the tip. A job well done! John
