Mick Maxen
The link James put up is the programme about castles which has Owen and the presenter forging a sword. The programme we were both in smelting, is George Clark's Amazing Spaces, episode 7, which you might find on BBC iplayer or similar. Nothing to do with Owen or I, but we have another series about castles running at the moment which is following a 25 year project to build a castle exactly how it would of been done in Medieval times. Even the stones for the walls are being lifted with man powered treadle wheels. The location is in France. This might also be available on BBC iplayer, look for Secrets of the Castle with Ruth, Peter and Tom Here is a link to the project that started in 1997. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/destinations/europe/france/11236750/Guedelon-visitor-guide-Secrets-of-the-Castle.html Mick. Doug Bostic
For those of us not in the UK, I found the episode of "Castles - Britain's Fortified History" so we can all enjoy without going through a proxy server. http://youtu.be/5QDwL6VOSlk?t=33m42s
