Nice work. When you look at these type of weapons and get past the, "wow, that's cool" and think about warfare and basically hand to hand combat with your opponent holding you down and swinging one of these at your head. Well...................it gives new meaning to it was the last thing that went thru his mind!!!! :o:lol:B)

C Craft Customs ~~~ With every custom knife I build I try to accomplish three things. I want that knife to look so good you just have to pick it up, feel so good in your hand you can't wait to try it, and once you use it, you never want to put it down ! If I capture those three factors in each knife I build, I am assured the knife will become a piece that is used and treasured by its owner! ~~~ C Craft

Thank you Sir, for your kind words. I love native american weapons.

Yes indeed, one can only hope to die with honor. :) I once had a most realistic dream just the way you described above. The warrior that was about to kill me had one of those short eastern ball clubs with a very, very big ballhead, and a fur decoration. That's

all I remember, besides the fact that I was about to be killed ...

I agree with C Craft. Those clubs are amazing work, but the thought of one of those coming in contact with my head gives me chills. I think I might be more likely to die from fright than with honor :)

Nicely done. I enjoy seeing work like this because it is something i know very little about but find interesting at the same time.

those have a nice, "wow," factor. brutal, though. I always wished there was some of the genuine martial traditions still around from the Native Americans (not the recreated hybrid between Asian martial arts and the fragment of Native stuff that was remembered).

Of course, if there was, it would have a lot of cultural content that I wouldn't understand from my frame of reference. Still, there had to have been some interesting ideas created in that mixture of people and time.

“Years ago I recognized my kinship with all living things, and I made up my mind that I was not one bit better than the meanest on the earth. I said then and I say now, that while there is a lower class, I am in it; while there is a criminal element, I am of it; while there is a soul in prison, I am not free.” E. V. Debs

Ricardo, that isn't a dream that is a nightmare or as the Indians would have said a vision, "that is even scarier" ! This time period in history has always fascinated me. I have always said I was born a hundred years to late!

These are not mine but here are some pics that I have complied over the years of a few more war clubs, that really fascinated me! The top one has a piece of bone that is the tongue/weapon!!!

I always try to put the makers name down on any pic I use, unfortunately that was a practice I started after these two pictures so I can not credit the actual maker. I will say this to there credit they put some great effort in the making of these war clubs, as did you on yours! They are all excellent works!

Something most people don't realize that these type of war clubs were not only used by the American Indian but throughout Central and South America. They varied in different configurations from the type pictured in this thread, to those that had stone heads. Any way you slice it the war clubs were a formidable weapon. Some tribes used them with absolute brutal results on their opponents. I remember a story of a brave that his wife had been hit with a war club, it didn't kill her but she was never right again. NO KIDDING!

Your pics show how detailed you work is, a big TWO THUMBS UP!!

Here are the pics that I had on file, these were both patterned off of an American Indian style!

Thank you Sir. Indeed native americam weapons were brutal, intended to maim and kill in a more or less crude and simple efficiency. Indeed, it is a shame, with all due respesct, that Asian martial arts are mixed with virtualy everything these days... I mean Asian martial arts are awesome, but clearly doesnt make any sense to mix it with american native fighting systems. There is a movie with Colin Farrel and Raoul Trujillo about Pocahontas, that has some nice weapons and fighting. Also Raoul cares a lot about the proper manner of doing things, gestures and all as close from reality as possible (at least i think so), cause he is a native americam descendant himself.

Yes indeed. I dont know if it is right or wrong from me, but I think about how they would be used and if they would be keen or just a piece of umbalanced dead weight in the hands of some warrior. Glad you liked!

Well if it was a vision than i am very hapy :D Well, talking about time periods, i say I was born like 700 years to late. :(

They are very nice and those images are quite familiar to me... That's quite a bite of good craftsmanship put on those clubs and I'm glad you think my clubs are as good as those you posted.

Take a look at this original: http://grasac.org/exhibit/four-views-club

Wow, well indeed they were made to maim and/or kill.

Thank you very much Sir. Im very glad you like my craftsmanship! :D

Best regards.

It is awesome. I had another pic of one that I cannot find, somewhere in morphing from computer to computer over the years it has been lost! The face on it was so realistic it looked as if it could speak to you! I wish I could fine it the hair was done with horse hair, I think but it was braided and who ever done the face had a lot more talent than myself!
