I had a chance to do some forging with George Ezell at the Fellowship of Christian knife makers Hammer-in down in AL in Feb!!!

I did the forge weld, and George forged the blade to shape!!! (George makes it look easy).

The Blade is 8 1/4"

The handle is 5" Gaboon Ebony

Brass fittings!!!

It is good to see this one again, you did an awesome job finishing it up.

Two questions, is it sharp, and where's the sheath? (runs and hides)

that does look slick. I almost never get cable to weld without at least one inclusion or something. I like the spacer or whatever you call it in front of the guard. Washer? still, it looks good.

Nice Kip , real nice......care to share the antique brass look ?

Working on a twisted hidden tang at the moment , this would work well I think

Hey Rob thanks for the nice reply!!! The guard is dipped in Birchwood/Casey Brass black. You can pick it up at any Gun shop. You will need to play with some scrap to get the desired finish. Lower grit more antiqued, if you high polish it will be jet black and then you can sand away edges to look antiqued and so on you get the drift. Lots of fun good luck I look forward to seeing!!!
