I kept trying to find a favorite part. I don't really have one. However, the flow between the guard and handle, and the subtle complexity (each looks simple until you actually inspect them closely) are wonderful. This is a lot in a small package.

great work!

OMG, knife porn!!!! Wieland I have yet to look at one of your pieces and not like it but, this one it is different. I love it!!! The pics were slow to open and I found myself racing ahead to catch a glimpse while they finished opening. Then I had to back and study each frame. Absolutely flawless!

Hail to the "White Lady"!! bow.gif

WOW! You knew exactly how much to carve the ivory to leave it perfect... :blink:

That is gorgeous. I absolutely love the contrast between the highly polished blade/grip and the textured guard. How is that texture achieved? Is it carved and brushed?

@einar,

thanks for posting!

the texture is done with dremel and inserts, then brushed with a rotating steelwire.

Any time I see a "wieland" post, I know it's going to be good, but when I saw the "White Lady" title, I knew we were in for something special.

Wow.

That is spectacular.

Thanks for the reply. I agree with mr Don Abbott, every time I see a new thread by you, I know we're in for a treat.
